THE OUTER SPACE ADVENTURES
OF
LITTLE LEO OF THE LIGHT

Chapter 5: A Spy Trip

Once they had determined the direction in which they were going to travel, Little Leo told the others that he would like to rest a bit, so that he would be fresh for the balance of the journey. Bright Glo agreed that a rest period would help her, too. Peshavor, the big Nalesh boy, said that he wouldn’t mind watching the controls for a while.

Little Leo and Glo went back to their separate sleeping quarters to lie down for a while. They both recharged their bodies and their spirits by bringing in the Light to all parts of their bodies so that their bodies could regenerate cells while they snoozed. They had learned how to do this since they were infants, as did all Light kids. Both had been awake for quite a long time, and they wanted to be ready for their next adventure.

Little Leo was pleased that he had met a Nalesh boy, because the Nalesh were the most respected race in the universe. Not only were they immensely strong physically, they were very advanced in the ways of the Light. Their ability to travel through dimensions allowed them to travel through time, space and distance without the use of a ship like the mini-cruiser. All their abilities were unknown, as much of the Nalesh race lived silently among the other residents of the universe, so that they didn’t interfere with anyone. Little Leo wanted to receive training from Peshavor, so that he could learn what he needed for his future battle with the Dark force. He was excited about what Peshavor had said, when he told them that he was from Little Leo’s race. Little Leo was aware that his spirit was very special, and now he knew just how special! He relaxed, recharged, and took a short nap.

Meanwhile, Glo had arrived at her quarters and felt quite sleepy. She recharged with the Light and performed a series of healings that would help her concentration, creativity and thought processes. Glo reflected on how fortunate she was to be traveling with two of the most special beings in the universe. Then she fell asleep.

After their rest period, Little Leo and Glo seemed to arrive at the control room at the same time. The big Nalesh boy, with his feet up, was snoozing in the command chair. Little Leo stepped up to him and said: “So, how’s it going, Peshavor?”

The big ape boy opened his eyes wide and jumped out of his chair. When he saw Little Leo, he relaxed and broke into a loud laughter. “You caught me by surprise, Little One,” he said. “You’ve got quite a stealth movement, for one in a human-like body.”

Little Leo laughed and said: “Peshavor, you’re going to make a fine addition to our team. You sure are cool and calm!”

Then Little Leo realized that it would be better if they all spoke the same language, because most of the time they were speaking to each other mentally. The trio agreed to speak a single language, so that they could all understand each other when they spoke out loud. Peshavor argued that his language was older and worthier of being spoken, while Little Leo and Glo stated that their language was the one most commonly spoken among the human-like races in that part of the galaxy.

After a few minutes, it was decided that Little Leo and Glo would teach Peshavor to speak their language. Peshavor growled slightly as he agreed, but he was really pleased, for he would be able to communicate with more people. Not everyone could speak telepathically as well as these two little ones. Not long after, Little Leo and Glo had taught Peshavor the basics of their language. Since Peshavor was of superior intelligence, his memory and concentration were flawless, so he had no problem learning.

After their language session, Little Leo asked Peshavor how long he thought it would take to reach the next Light platform. Peshavor told Little Leo that he had been monitoring the interspace communication transmissions, and that he had tuned in on a Dark slavers’ transport platform. Since the Dark slavers were known to have advanced psychic skills, it was important not to use telepathic methods from a long distance to listen to their conversations, because they might detect them and that could be dangerous.

Peshavor suggested that he take an interdimensional trip over to the Dark platform and spy on the Dark slavers for awhile. He asked Little Leo to go with him, since he knew he had already received training in interdimensional skills. Little Leo was excited and said: “I’ve always wanted to test my skills at interdimensional travel. I’ve only learned to travel inter-D in a ship, never in body. You Nalesh are so advanced. How do I do it?”

“You’ll get firsthand experience in a minute. Now, Glo, while we’re away, keep your thoughts away from us. Your thought waves could be sensed by the Dark slavers. We don’t want to draw attention to our presence there.”

Glo said that she would cloak her vibration and promised to concentrate on other things.

Then Peshavor pointed into the air and a bright sparkle of Light appeared. Using the spark of Light, he opened a dimensional portal. The portal appeared as a shining white vortex, like the top of a tornado that spun smaller and smaller into a point in the distance. As Peshavor and Little Leo stepped into the portal, they started to glow like white Light. The Light got stronger and stronger, and then they just disappeared!

Glo watched in awe as Little Leo and Peshavor were whisked away into the Light portal. She had never seen anything like it before. She immediately turned her thoughts to other things. She picked up her goods pack and pulled out her favorite toy. As she rolled her transformation ball over in her hand, it projected the colors and pictures that she was thinking of. She was careful not to think about Little Leo and Peshavor and where they were headed.

Meanwhile, Little Leo and the young Peshavor were in quite a different situation. As Little Leo stepped into the portal, he entered a higher dimension and turned his thoughts inward. They had to remain as quiet in all aspects of their being as possible, if they were going to spy on the Dark slavers. The slavers were also from a highly advanced race, but their knowledge had not reached the level that the Nalesh race had. Peshavor tuned into Little Leo’s thoughts and started to emit a vibration to him. Little Leo heard the silent sound and started to think only of it. In this way the two were in tune at the same frequency, and they would be able to stand among the Dark slavers without being detected.

Peshavor had directed the portal toward the location of the nearest Dark slaver transport ship. Suddenly, they found themselves in the control room of a fast-moving transport that was light years away from Little Leo’s mini-cruiser. Little Leo and Peshavor were standing in the middle of a huge force of Dark slavers, yet they were completely hidden within the Light vortex. This ship was enormous! It had to be at least ten miles in length and about half that in width. It was a traveling city, complete with a population of slavers that had lived there for generations. There were thousands of Light people on board, being transported like animals.

In order to listen to the thoughts of others, the two Light boys had to remain at the same vibrational level.

Over by the ship’s controls stood a large hairy being with round horns and glowing red eyes. Little Leo knew that he was looking at a Dionik for the first time. The captain was a scary-looking being, as he stood staring into space, thinking about what was going to happen when they reached their next destination. He seemed pleased to hurt all the Light people that he was delivering as slaves. Little Leo and Peshavor found that they could easily read the thoughts of the captain.

After a minute or so, the Dionik captain thought about his superior, an obviously much older red-eyed being, with super-wrinkled skin and very large horns. A picture of him just popped up in the two Light boys’ minds. The captain began a mental conversation with the Dionik elder.

The elder red-eyed being asked: “How long will it be until you reach the next Light planet, Captain Ivzik?”

The captain, Ivzik, replied, “Soon enough. I can already smell their fear and defeat, O Great One. I am making speed to arrive and show them our might and power! We will arrive at the planet Lushvatal before long.”

The elder replied: “You have served me well, and you shall be rewarded with more enforcers and a larger planet platform. Your reward will be to serve me longer and better in future.”

Captain Ivzik answered: “I am indebted to you for my life and all that I own and know. As always, I respect and honor your spirit!” Then he turned his attention back to the physical events around him.

Little Leo was troubled by what he had heard, but he remained perfectly still. He couldn’t show any emotion or tension, or he would break the vibrational link that he had made with Peshavor.

Meanwhile, Peshavor sensed that Little Leo was starting to react to what the Dark captain had said. He knew that Little Leo had just escaped a life of slavery on Vorkos. Peshavor allowed no emotion to enter him as he reflected on the devastating effects that the Dark slavers would have on the Light race. Peshavor knew of the Light people of Lushvatal, as all Light beings were aware of each other. He and Little Leo had learned enough, and it was time to go.

Before they left the vessel, Peshavor wanted Little Leo to know what the Dark slavers’ ship looked like, so that he would know what they were facing. As they began their return to the mini-cruiser through the portal, Peshavor made it possible for Little Leo to look at the exterior of the ship. The Dark slavers’ vessel was far larger than any that Little Leo had ever seen in his short life. As far as the eye could see, thousands of escort dragons of all types and sizes were flying in formation all around the vessel. The dragon races were known to be fierce and destructive protectors of the Red-eyed races. Little Leo had never seen one dragon, never mind so many!

All at once, Peshavor they were whisked back to the mini-cruiser, and the Light portal closed into a point of Light that sparkled, then vanished.

Little Leo knew that there was little time left. The Dark slavers would soon reach their destination and cause the senseless destruction of another peaceful race of Light beings. Little Leo prepared himself mentally for what was to come with a firm commitment to win.
